2. Crimped Hair
Crimped Hair was a hairstyle popular in the 80s. It consisted of big-haired high-ponytails with one or two hair crimps added to get that truly 80s look. Crimping is done by clamping hair between two metal plates that use heat to add tension to the strands, making them curl upward. Crimped hair was usually worn short, and the texture is recognisable in all kinds of popular icons and personalities to this day.
